Manning and Tebow on same team?

Perhaps the most intriguing team in pursuit of Peyton Manning are the Denver Broncos. And there is a pursuit. A fairly hot one, according to a person familiar with the situation. There is also reciprocal interest from Manning.

That doesn't mean this will happen and the odds of Manning joining the Broncos, while possible, are slim. There are two reasons why.

The first is Tim Tebow. I'm told Manning would be uncomfortable with Tebow being on the roster but also doesn't want to be seen as the guy who pushed Tebow out of Denver. The Broncos, I'm told, also don't want to trade Tebow even if Manning joins the team. The Broncos would have to come to some sort of resolution of these two things and it might just be too messy for a resolution to be reached.

There's also this little factoid. Manning is represented by super agent Tom Condon who recently formed a super partnership with another super agent, Jimmy Sexton, as part of a super agency of super agents. It's just one big bowl of super.

In all seriousness, Condon and Sexton are two of the most powerful in the business and, guess who Sexton represents? Yes, he reps Tebow.

So I'm not so sure Condon and Sexton would want their powerful clients in competition.

But keep this in mind: John Elway, pretty super himself at one point in his career, wants Manning badly. That is a fact and he's going to try and make this work.

The chances, though, remain slim. Yet I will say if there's one thing I've learned about Elway is never doubt him. The city of Cleveland would likely agree with me.

Nothing more needs to be said!  But, what problem does Peyton have with Tim?  I like Peyton Manning.  But, he starts picking on

our boy Tim and I might have to change my mind!

Manning and Tebow on same team?

It's a no-brainer.  There is no reason for Manning to throw another pass unless it's because he's in route to a Super Bowl.  He could retire now and become a coach or announcer, join a front office, or pretty much name his own job.  He wants to win a Super Bowl.  Throwing for another 4,000 yards or 50 TDs in a season only serves to pad his HOF stat line.  He wants to win a Super Bowl.  So there is really only one place for him to go.  Houston, Texas.  As a Texan he will start a Dynasty that hasn't been seen since the Aikman-Emmitt Cowboys.  He will win a SB next year, and potentially 2 more.  His goal is to win more than Brady and his brother.  So there really is nothing to debate.

Manning and Tebow on same team?

Denver is a perfect fit for Manning. They have a very good offensive line,2 good young receivers, solid running back, and an up and coming D and play in a bad division which they won last year. Manning comes and they are looking at home playoff games in the AFC which is much easier to get to SB now

Manning and Tebow on same team?

I find it ironic that Denver has suddenly become a "playoff-ready" team which Manning could "step right in", and that Elway and Co. choose to ignore the fact that Tebow was the one who helped make a 7-24 team into a playoff team in two-thirds of a season.

Manning and Tebow on same team?

Jacksonville screwed up on Tebow, the new owner said he would have picked him. Send a 2nd round draft pick for him, sell out the stadium, what more could Jax want...A prayer for Tebow to save the franchise. Jax's picks the past years have been busts, we have nothing to lose. Gene Smith wrap you thick skull around this! PS thanks for Marcedes Lewis, Gabber, Groves, Matt Jones and the other losers! How did you keep your job? Must be rubbing the right guys because you should have been fired.

Manning and Tebow on same team?

I think it is fool's gold to sign Manning at this stage in his career without him even taking a snap last year. Pairing him with Tebow would be like taking two bad situations and making them worse. Tebow needs work and Manning needs a strong supporting cast but neither will find what they want if both are in Denver. Tebow won't get the development he needs sharing time with Manning and Manning won't last long around Denver's weal offense.
