Jeff Fisher continues to contemplate coaching the Rams or the Dolphins, though it is increasingly looking like Fisher has all but made a decision.

A source close to Fisher says the former Titans coach is "95 percent certain" he's going to accept an offer from the Rams. An official decision could come early next week.

Now, there's a caveat here, and it's a big one. It's the wallet of Miami owner Stephen Ross. It's very possible Ross makes a huge, final offer that could sway Fisher. So far, a source says, that hasn't happened.

But that doesn't mean it won't and that's the only reason, I'm told, it's not a totally done deal. Fisher is waiting for the final word from Ross.

A source also confirmed Fisher has a fear the Rams might move to Los Angeles, though that isn't said to be a deal-breaker.

But everything continues to point to Fisher coaching the Rams with the Ross wallet being the only possible hangup.

I made an account just to inform you how petty and dumb your comment is, and by the way, your face is stupid.

wow fisher is gonna pick us. overrated. the coaching ranks are a sorry lot if fishr is the biggest fish in the pond. what make say that is. he has deveoped his ego to the point that he always knowswhat is best. hw as fired from his last job, because he forgeoy he didnt own the team. the players will sense that, because they are multi millionare egomaniacs themselves. anymore a coach is really a baby sitter.

Hey Freeman,

Is your source all of the radio shows stating that Fisher will pick St Louis? What a hack.

If Bears stupid managment had done things the right way and fired Lovie Smith along with everyone else, THEY could have landed Fisher and brought him home where he was a player.
The Bears should trade Lovie Smith to the Dolphins for a can of tuna. The Bears could have gone after Cowher, Dungy, Gruden, or another quality head coach. Lovie had his chance. 1 playoff apearance in 5 years is not the worst Chicago has seen, but with their stars, that is clearly a failure. They have had to watch the Packers go to the playoffs 14 of the last 19 years, while the Bears have made it only 5 times in 19 years. In a huge media market like Chicago, this is unacceptable.

Wow!  The Rams over the Fins?  Living in the heartland over living Tax free in South Fla?  I would have figured that Fisher would have looked forward to the challenge of competing with Belichek in the AFC EAST but who knows?  I guess he will take the easy way out here.  Pretty weak!!

Yes, you are correct.  Then, after he was cleared by doctors, was coveted by many teams.  The Rams took him with the first pick, and he proceeded to take every snap in the 2010 season...

The notion that Southern California native Fisher would object to living in So Cal is preposterous. However, it is certainly reasonable for Fisher seek seek clarification of the Rams' immediate future. Regardless, I doubt either LA area NFL Stadium group is interested in regaining the Rams' wandering minstrel act. The Rams can be relied on to declare any stadium built by 2015 to be "obsolete" at 10 years old and seek to move yet again. Georgia Frontiere remains the most hated ghost in So Cal.
