Eagles dominate Cowboys, 34-7

PHILADELPHIA -- It was 34-7 and Tony Romo and Dez Bryant were arguing with the game officials. The Dallas Cowboys were trailing by 27 points with five minutes left in the game and the two players were complaining about a hold on Bryant.

It was definitely pass interference but the Cowboys had been utterly atomized long before that. That didn't stop Bryant from trouncing off the field and tossing his helmet in anger like a seven-year-old. The moment showed a total lack of perspective for what had just happened.

The final score was Philadelphia 34 Cowboys 7 but the game was worse than that. Total domination, great play calling, outstanding accuracy from Mike Vick, deadly cutback running from LeSean McCoy and a Philadelphia defense that dismantled Dallas all led to one of the worst losses of the non-Jimmy Johnson/Jerry Jones era.

But make no mistake: This was an Andy Reid special. He so out-coached the Cowboys and Vick so out-played the Dallas defense that it might actually be time to rethink the Eagles not as failed Dream Teammers but a group on the verge of turning their season around.

You probably ripped Randy Moss when he walked off the field one play early in a loss. You probably wrote that he 'didn't care'. What, him standing on the sideline was supposed to magically make a difference in the game?
Excellent point sgm!! If Bryant had the type of "perspective" Freeman wants he would have no doubtedly been called a quitter who lacked competetiveness and passion. It's a no win situation with those who hate the Cowboys that won't ever change.

as for now,  good game against Dallas,  lets get it done next week.  we are still a losing team,  and even if we beat the bears were not a "winning team till we get OVER .500
I don't know MrSkink, granted the Cowboys helped considerably in that game, but there's no doubt the Eagles came prepared and executed about as good as any team could. McCoy is no joke and the offense line finally looks like it's starting to gel. If they have turned the corner mentally and can keep that consistency all those weapons they acquired in the off season might actually start paying off and end up a great season.

If I were a Cowboys fan, I'd be worried a bit by the behavior I saw from Dez Bryant on the sidelines.
I'm not at all worried about that, but there are certainly plenty of other things to worry about at this point. I don't think the next meeting will be this lopsided either but unless Garrett learns how to properly prepare for teams real quick they'll be battling the Redskins for position instead of the Eagles for the rest of the season. I've never seen such poor game planning.

Freeman finally gets it right ... TOTAL DOMINATION.

The Cowgirls were owned in every facet of the game. Get a QB, Coach, some WR's ... keep Witten, and let Murray develope. Felix, he's always a play away from breaking the homerun, he's also a pla away from an injury.

Shady looked like Barry Sanders in this game, his cutbacks are the best the NFL has seen since the early-mid 90's. And Vick, albeit he is small ... none of us could catch him if our life depended on it. Just please ... start sliding feet first Mike.

Quit being a little bishcht. You lost, calls are missed very game numerous times. Tony Rhomo is, and never will be a winner. This call had no impact on the outcome. Find a new coach, and QB, and perhaps some real WR's.

Lack of perspective...like you're showing NOW?

The score didn't matter. It was a blown no call that was CLEARLY pass interference. You just admitted it was a bad call. Just because a team is losing doesn't excuse the official from making the call. The players were pissed because they're COMPETITIVE, not because the game was out of hand. They were pissed because a FLAG should've been thrown and it wasn't.

You probably ripped Randy Moss when he walked off the field one play early in a loss. You probably wrote that he 'didn't care'. What, him standing on the sideline was supposed to magically make a difference in the game?

Perspective.

Without the NBA, the Eagles are the closest bone that can be thrown. Keeps the crime rate down in the inner cities.

as an eagles fan for most of my life,

last week we won a game,  this week we finally played a good SOLID game but it was just a game.

im not getting excited,  im going to post this messege,  turn off my TV,  and go to bed,  wake up tomorrow and enjoy not hearing any smack about my team on a Monday... something that has been happening way too often lately.  As for talking smack?..    ill hold off on that until we are at the top of our division.

as for now,  good game against Dallas,  lets get it done next week.  we are still a losing team,  and even if we beat the bears were not a "winning team till we get OVER .500

someone duct tape Vince Youngs mouth closed or lock him in his locker or something before he jinxs us again.

The Eagles had the ball for 42:09, the Cowboys had it for 17:51.  That was absolute TOTAL domination.  We've seen games between these teams over the years that were similar numbers, but for the "other" teams.  A certain playoff game comes to mind, in particular.  Michael Vick was ON.  LeSean McCoy got his number called.  20+ times a game usually bodes well for Philly.  There were ZERO Wildcats.  These ALL point to a PHL win.  I doubt the game will be this lop-sided later this year.  As a Philly fan I am enjoying it.  If I were a Cowboys fan, I'd be worried a bit by the behavior I saw from Dez Bryant on the sidelines.  But even still, we didn't hear what he was actually saying.  It was his body language that seemed concerning.  But without the words....?  Who knows?
