Manning's immediate future in question

Posted on: September 5, 2011 11:35 am

The Colts did the expected: they said in a statement that Peyton Manning is doubtful to play on Sunday. Translation: he won't be on the field. No way in hell.

The bigger question is something I wrote about this weekend and that's the immediate future of Manning. A source within the Indianapolis organization said the team is concerned Manning could miss several games or even slightly more. I think that's where this is headed.

My guess is we won't see Manning until Week 3 at the earliest and I'm wondering if that is optimistic.

The Colts and Manning are both being careful as hell as they should be. This may be the one time we won't see a miraculous Manning recovery.

Manning's immediate future in question

Sometimes I wonder how many bloggers and sports analysts there are out there who would love nothing more than to see harm come to Peyton...On 1st and 10 the other day, Rob Parker (or, at least I think it was Rob) basically predicted a forthcoming injury for Manning if he weren't to retire; ostensibly unfazed, Skip Bayless halfheartedly called Parker out on his remarks...
I'd go so far as to say that if you are one of the many who wish any sort or degree of ill on Peyton, you're SICK in the head...
I, admittedly, used to harbor ill will toward those whom I regarded as my enemies; but as a fledgling Christian, I'm trying to practice the antithesis of this bad habit...I'd strongly urge everyone to do the same.

Manning's immediate future in question

Touchy touchy little renegade (wasn't that a long since cancelled t.v. series starring Lorenzo Lamas). I would stop focussing on my net worth, and start thinking what life will be like w/o Peyton. Or are you a real fan ? Will you simply choose another team when Peyton is gone ?
And no I'm not a Pats fan, just an objective Skins fan, a true fan who will continue to be a fan no matter who the quarterback (or owner) is.

Manning's immediate future in question

You're absolutely wrong. Read efos77's entire post - he summed up the situation perfectly, with regard to the soreness but the nerve issue being the prevailing issue.

Nothing quite like the idiot who, because of his own idiocy, calls another an idiot.

teets-Thank's for understanding what my post was explaining, some people are not intelligent enough to read an entire post.  They just see a few words and skip the rest.  Isn't that the typical Cubs fan for ya though.  You've been favorited, by the way GO CARDS!

You are completely wrong there efos77, it was reported that he IS in pain, back pain to be precise. Get your facts straight before posting crap.
