CBA signing still on track

A high ranking union source said the NFLPA is still expecting to ratify it's agreement with the owners on Thursday as planned.

"There is no danger," the source said in a text.

There has been speculation a delay in the signing was imminent but within the NFLPA the deal is expected to be ratified as scheduled, the source explained. At most, there might be a delay of a single day or two but again that's not likely.

So, for now, everyone can calm the hell down.

CBA signing still on track

Well, with the Osi, CJ2k and Carson Palmer issues, I wonder if it's as clear cut as before.  The players really should push for 3 year max rookie contracts and no franchise/restricted free agency.  5 years at a bargain basement price is most of some player's careers, especially RBs.

Oh well whatever, I'm not the players' lawyer.  I suppose no holdouts and lower paid players helps the fans because our favorite teams will be able to retain players longer for cheaper.  Unless you're a fan of one of the crappy teams like the Bengals or Redskins, that's a pretty good setup.
