CBA reached; players' vote remains

So, it's done. The negotiating teams for the players and owners have reached a new collective bargaining agreement, a player source tells me. It's over.

Players are flying to Washington to vote on it. But it will pass.

"It's done," one player source said. "We have an agreement. Now we just have to vote."

Finally, some definitive, good news.

Darn it. I was hoping for a missed season. Oh well. Guess the on;y thing to hope for now is that the Cardinals don't acquire Kevin Kolb. If they do, the only football I'll be watching will be Aston Villa.

Amen!  I hope it's true, I can't wait for the offseason to finally start.

I love all the "greedy NFL" comments. Apparently you guys don't buy gas, groceries, or any other commodity. You are surrounded by greed every day.  If you all hate the NFL so much, why read & comment on articles about it?

Go back out to your garden and oil well in your backyard -- the garden needs weeding and your derrick has sprung a leak!

Ah yes, we have the NFL again. Time to reach for the ckbook boys & girls & pay for those obscenely priced PSL's & season tickets again. Oh, & don't forget the $100+ for parking & concessions.... I'll be sitting in the best seats in the world, my living room.

Great, now Goodell may want to close the curtain on the back office.  Goodell, in the name of "protecting the shield," has spent far too much time airing out dirty laundry.  Fans don't react well to hearing about all this crap.  He should learn to be more discreet moving foward.
