Vikings: One team, two jerks

Posted on: October 6, 2010 8:33 am
Brett Favre acts like a petulant child and is rewarded with an exit out of Green Bay and eventually lands with a near Super Bowl team in Minnesota.

Randy Moss acts like a petulant child -- many times -- and ends up with Favre in Minnesota.

The NFL is fantastic.

Two jerks, one city, not enough ego to go around.

Only in sports are jerks repeatedly rewarded despite their childish behavior. Moss and Favre are no different.

The irony here is unavoidable. Moss was cast out of Minnesota because he drove his car into a meter maid and quit the team. Now he's back years later after having more problems in New England.

Bill Belichick wouldn't trade Moss now unless Belichick believed he couldn't get the most out of Moss for the remainder of the season. This trade isn't Belichick being efficient. This is Belichick worried Moss would destroy his locker room. After all, Moss has destroyed locker rooms before.

Two jerks, one team.

Good luck, Vikings.

You're going to need it.

Does not matter what month it is, you can always count on Freeman to go after Favre. It is a bit on the creepy side if you ask me and very stale. There is a lot going on in sports. Can you just give it a rest? We all know how much you hate Favre.

Freeman, I am most likely in the minority but I have to agree with you. I do not understand the direction this team is taking particularily with Favre. At some point Minn needs to turn the page and hand this team off to Tavaris Jackson. I mean what are they going to do next year ask Favre to come back for another shot at the title if they miss this year? The other issue is that if he was to get hurt could you imagine what Randy Moss would be like if he Tavaris Jackson throwing him the football. It would almost be a resurrection of his days in Oakland.

Good luck Minn you will need it. When was the last time Minnesota won a world title in any sport?

Viking fans think they have suddenly locked up a Super Bowl win "

REALLY?  Your as bad as the other dipsh!ts who post garbage on this board

Yeah fazzy ?? You're exactly the kind of Viking fan I'm talking about ! You guys were all giddy when Favre came to Minnesota. He ended last year's playoff run the same way he always does. With an INT ! The guy can't move any more and can't chunk the deep ball very well.

Now, here comes Moss, and the desperate Viking fans think they have solved all their problems again ! LOL Here we go with the Super Bowl champion talk again !

Moss will improve the team in the short term. But when Favre retires, he will be griping again.

I agree with the poster about the sensitivity of the Viking fans. How dare ANYONE criticize OUR beloved franchise ??? !!! Give me a break ! Fazzy, the only thing your post served to do was to call me a nasty name. Grow up little kid !!

This is the Odd Couple.  Two grumpy, scruffy, old guys.
I am going to enjoy watching these two washed up terds become the laughing stock of the NFL this season.  Moss can't beat anybody any more and Favre can't even throw the deep ball any more.

Wow, Viking fans are sure a sensitive lot, kinda like Apple fans - criticize their team/product and they crawl out of the woodwork screaming cuz someone dared to criticize their beloved Queens. What is funny is that most of these fans hated both of these doofuses not too long ago, now there is nothing but love, like they have always been part of their team. The Vike fans are just giddy right now, but it's not based in reality. Their bandwagon is filling up again, but soon enough the wheels will fall off and they will be left with the same old disappointment - and the same old stadium.
