Limbaugh: good riddance

Hardcore race baiter and alleged pill popper Rush Limbaugh was kicked out by his own potential ownership group's bid to purchase the St. Louis Rams proving there is a (football) God.

Limbaugh was drop kicked by the head of the group, the respected Dave Checketts.

Rush has been Rushed.

This is a great day for those of us who see sports as a unifying force and not a dividing one.

Oh, go ahead, Limbaugh lickers, post your comments about how people have made up quotes or taken them out of context or call everyone a racist. Fire away, you brave anonymous message board flamers. That's what you do.

(This is said without malice and is my opinion: I believe almost any quote attributed to Limbaugh when it comes to race because he's said any number of ugly and hateful things. Just my opinion and belief.)

Limbaugh represents everything that's wrong with how people relate to one another today.

Now Limbaugh will manipulate the situation -- and manipulate his followers -- into believing that his lack of acceptance by the NFL is a conspiracy by the liberal media, feminists, blacks, ACORN, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, global warming believers, Oprah and Mexicans against him.

It's not about Limbaugh's politics, it's about Limbaugh himself. He's a bad person. That's it. End of story.

There are (and have been) current NFL owners who are horrible people but that doesn't mean the league has to let more in, especially more like Limbaugh.

Limbaugh's also a coward who sends his robotic fans to various media and message boards to do his dirty work for him.

You can't have it both ways, Rush-bo. You can't say numerous hateful things then try to back away from them or claim one or two things attributed to you aren't accurate. You don't get the benefit of the doubt on race.

So good riddance.

Hopefully the sports world will never hear from you again.

Limbaugh: good riddance

there's a difference between debate and angry postings. there's nothing here to debate in the first place. a lie is a lie and the truth is the truth...freeman is your liar and Limbaugh speaks the truth. Those who make accusations of racism do it as a last mental resort when confronted with then truth. Here's how it usually goes down...mental midget hears the truth, can't respond right away due to small mental capacity, mental midget mentally curls up in the fetal position inside of the race-card-ism cocoon and begins to accuse said truth teller of racism as a last resort. Solution?...there isn't one. mental midgets have to emerge moths from their cocoons. as far as what you've posted, well, freeman reaps what he sews eh? they all actually sounded like pretty well made points to me.

"The views expressed in this blog are solely those of the author and do not reflect the views of CBS Sports or CBSSports.com" - really? Perhaps cbs sports and cbssports.com should apply some common sense to the decision making process regarding which articles to post and which ones to reject...thaaaaaat way, people with $$ won't reject your services based on your apparent lack of principal, substance and wisdom. Cbs won't receive another cent from usps05. Thank you very little,

Freeman: "Fetalist"

Mike Freeman, you're nothing more than a bitter man who's all wrapped up in the fetal position, trapped inside the cocoon of race-card-ism... lashing out at a man who forces you and your ilke to see truth and your article serves as proof that you lack the mental capacity to cut loose of your flawed thought pattern and accept it. Will you ever emerge a moth or remain a sticky larva forever caught up in the pupal casing that you've created for yourself? Since you look at truth and scoff, that makes you a fetalist. Truth gives us all the chance to grow but you choose to remain infantile. Thanks for writing the article. You've really made it quite obvious to many people who you are and given many people a good reason to try out sports websites that you're not affiliated with in a professional capacity. Thanks again,

p.s. How was your title applicable to your article...Rush isn't going anywhere and was never a part of the NFL and you weren't a part of the potential ownership group who asked him to be a part of it. Who were you speaking for?

There may be a great reason why most wanted pictures look like Jesse Jackson...

Limbaugh: good riddance

Very nice of the CBS ass clowns to delete my post.  I was mentioning that everyone that thinks Freeman is a racist piece of crap needs to go to the Help section and give CBS an earfull in the feedback area.

My responses from them have been that Mike Freeman is a respected member of the community and has the right to voice his opinions.  But apparently, we don't have the right to voice ours.  Otherwise, they will delete our posts or ban us.

CBSSPORTS . . . YOU SUCK!!

If Al Sharpton wanted to buy a team, Freeman, what would you say? Good point Bucfan, I'd have no problem with Al Sharpton(granted the guy is pond-scum) buying a team but that fat, pill-popper(Rush) should be able to also.  This should be a free market, it's not Russia(yet).  Would Limbaugh be any worse than the ilk owning teams in Oakland and Dallas? Speaking of scum, I'm still pissed that Donald Trump ruined the USFL but he had the right to own a team too.  Please, let's not turn this country communist, it hasn't worked in the past and it won't work now.  Freeman is just showing his true colors, racist, Liberal scum.

Loving the double standard by CBS Sports.  Apparently, Mike Freeman can name call and insult us all he wants without repurcussions.  However, if we do the same, we get banned.

Great job, CBS, ya damn ass clowns!

Grinning Bear: Freeman is hardly the gold standard of journalism, as many on both sides has pointed out. Which is why I would ordinarily be surprised at the violent reaction to his opinion; I mean, it's Mike Freeman , after all. It's not like the President, or Congress, or a respected news agency, or even Entertainment Tonight did a guest blog.
I say "ordinarily" however, because Freeman chose as his target Rush Limbaugh. Rush, and people like him, are incredibly thin-skinned for all the similar vitriol they dish out. When I read some craptastic article like Freeman's, my immediate reaction is to lean back and wait for all the angry, obliviously hypocritical denouncements, while calling into mind some of the many times Limbaugh has dished out as much if not worse. Like the time he called Chelsea Clinton "the White House dog". That sort of thing.
If it's good for the goose, and all that. Point being, this sort of tit-for-tat accusation and invective is all rather silly. Waaaaaay back in this thread, a poster named PDiddy said, And with that I'm done talking about this forever.  A billionaire doesn't need defending and Freeman doesn't need anymore clicks (which is half the reason for the vitriol in his post) to run up the ad meter until his next column. And of course, he is right. If this thread hadn't been run up to 35+ pages by posters arguing with each other , it would have been about 4 pages long. I am more guilty than most of running up the page count (but then, I like a good scrap), but I willingly concede that the original writing wasn't worth the energy spent on it. You and I would be as wise as PDiddy to just forget it for the useless exercise it is...

Maybe I should say I love Obama so the Dan Rather chan.. op I mean CBS Sports will give my point back for free speech like their pro writer Freeman uses when he calls me a "Licker". Laughing LOL!!

lotusmaglite,

Thanks for leading of your thread with my comment about the "N" word.  Smile

The truth is that my entire thread was based on ignorant comments to make Freeman mad as hell like he mad me. Sometimes it's hard not to fight  ignorance with ignorance when someone is a race baiter like Freeman.  I've read enough of his stuff (unlike others listening to Rush)  to know that every chance he gets he tries to stick it in the eye of Conservative's folks. I guess he doesn't want to be liked or respected? There's a way to give your opinion without enraging the readers.

I was wrong to get down in the muck where he likes to take us all.  I'll try to do better although I doubt that fool ever will.

I don't understand the folks defending Rush.  The NFL is a private company and has the right to make decisions on their own.  I don't think Mike Vick and some of the other criminals in the league should have been let back in, but that was not my decision to make.  There is no precedent in ownership similar to this issue and you cannot compare the players to the owners.  You have your Freedom of Expression, but you do not have freedom from the consequences of your expression.  There is no one for Rush to sue, unless you consider it was the group he was part of that nixed him.  Rush seems to be the type of person who would love to brag about 'owning' players.
